Kelly!
Hello world,
Today it is my pleasure to introduce you to Kelly!
Kelly is two years old, and lives in a foster home outside of Beijing.
She has a club foot, but that does not slow her down, she's always crawling around and standing up against the sofas or walls for support!
Here are some of the great things about Kelly:
Kelly is Bright: When I first met Kelly in the summer of 2014, she was still in the early stages of language development. She was babbling but not yet creating meaningful words. However, everyone always understood what she was asking for! Whether it was a specific toy all the way across the room, or if she wanted a snack, Kelly always finds a way to get her thoughts across.
Kelly is a Foodie: Anytime you pick Kelly up, she wants you to take her into the kitchen or put her down in her highchair. She LOVES to eat! Everyday when the nannies went to go get lunch or dinner from the kitchen, Kelly would begin to squeal with excitement because she knew it meant she would soon get to eat again! She's certainly not a pickier eater, I've seen her eat everything from plain rice to seaweed, and she finished every last bite with a huge grin on her little face!

Kelly is Sassy: Towards the end of my time with Kelly, she started speaking. The main phrase she had down was "gei wo" which in English translates to "Give me!" Kelly is a girl who knows what she wants, and uses her adorableness and pure wit to find a way to make ends meet. She is also not afraid to give major attitude to anyone who denies her requests! I like to refer to it as her "sassy face;" she gets very serious and tilts her head as if she's trying to say "come on, you know you're going to give in!"
Kelly needs a forever family: she needs the care, support, and love that can only come from a family. She needs a mom and a dad who will be there for her through thick and thin. She needs YOU. Whether you are her forever family, or someone who can help them find her. YOU can be the difference between Kelly growing up as an orphan, or the reason why a family was brought together.
