Sid!
Hello World,
This month is National Adoption Month. Please spend some time this month, advocating, praying, and supporting families adopting and organizations supporting orphaned children, like Shepherd's Field Children's Village, GoodWorks Orphan Care, or Agape Life House.
One boy in particular has been on my heart lately, especially today. His name is Sid, and he is the most joyful soul I have ever had the blessing of meeting. Sid is eleven years old, and is currently living in a foster home not far from Beijing. Here are just a few of the many qualities that make Sid so special:

One boy in particular has been on my heart lately, especially today. His name is Sid, and he is the most joyful soul I have ever had the blessing of meeting. Sid is eleven years old, and is currently living in a foster home not far from Beijing. Here are just a few of the many qualities that make Sid so special:
Sid is Friendly: He is the the most outgoing person you will ever meet! Sid loves running up to people who come into his house or school and greet them with a smile that reaches from ear to ear and excitedly exclaims, "heeeelllllloooooooo!" followed by a warm hug. Sid enjoys playing games and will sit with you for hours taking selfies and laughing at the funny faces he makes.
Sid is Eager to Learn: I had the pleasure of teaching Sid American Sign Language (ASL) while I was interning in the physical therapy department at his foster home in 2014. Sid has a learning disability and a speech delay, so ASL helps him to link a visual and physical motion to spoken language. Sid was always excited to come to class, and worked hard to learn how to form the different hand signs. Whenever I would go over to Sid's house or saw him around his foster home, he would sit down with me and practice more signs. He learned quickly, and his verbal and signed vocabularies have grown significantly.
Sid is Caring: Every morning that I worked with Sid he would come quickly in the room and help me get out the toys and books we would be using for class. Sid also has several younger foster siblings in his house, including Molly! Sid always waits for his sisters to be ready when going to or from school or therapy. Once they get outside, Sid would hold their hands the entire way until they got to where they were going.

Sid Needs a Forever Family: he has less than three years until he ages out of the Chinese adoption system. Sid is greatly loved by everyone who works at and visits his foster home, and they have helped Sid to develop into the amazing young boy that he is. But now it is time that Sid experiences the love of a mother and a father. He deserves a life where he does not have to wonder who will be there for him or care and love him each day.
Please help Sid find his forever family. Pray, share, and contact us at [email protected] for more information.
